We guarantee bag weight:

We use Trading Standards stamped weighing equipment to ensure the weight on the bag is in the bag.
We use check weights to ensure the continuing accuracy of the bag weighing equipment.
We weigh all lorries (bag and bulk) in and out of the site over a well maintained and calibrated weighbridge. Trading standards carry out spot checks on our weighbridge.

Bag quality is assured

We use bag suppliers who are ISO9001 accredited, our bags meet the EU ISO21898 standards.
We use bags that have been tested to lift 6 times their intended capacity.
We use a 75 micron thick liner to eliminate moisture ingress.
We store our bags under cover prior to despatch.

Nutrient accuracy is precise:

We test all raw materials imported by ourselves to ensure we know the exact nutrient content of each cargo.
We only buy raw material from UK suppliers who are F.I.A.S. registered and we insist on a certificate of conformity.
We sample and analyse finished blends regularly.
We use a bespoke formulation system to accurately calculate the ingredients required for a blend.

Security trained and compliant

We have full traceability of raw materials from source to bag.
We train our staff on the importance of fertiliser security.
We follow all security regulations.
We are members of FIAS

Security Storage and FIAS

How to store your fertiliser:

Your fertiliser should be stored in clean, dry and ventilated warehouses, in stacks comprising no more than 12 layers (bags up to 50 kg); or in the case of big bags up to 600 kg – 2 layers. It should not be stored under open-sided shelters and in open space.

Ammonium Nitrate should be protected against:

water and precipitation
mechanical damage to packaging
heating over 30°C.

Keep your Fertiliser Secure and out of Sight:

Fertilisers containing Urea, Ammonium Nitrate, and CAN have all been used by terrorists.

Please keep these fertilisers securely on your farm.

Fertiliser Industry Assurance Scheme:

Payne Crop Nutrition are members of the UK Fertiliser Industry Assurance Scheme or FIAS. We are certified under the Manufacturing and Haulage schemes. Payne Crop Nutrition utilise FIAS certified third party hauliers to transport products

across the UK to farm. Non FIAS merchants have restrictions on the products they are allowed to purchase.

Wherever possible, use a FIAS approved supplier
Wherever possible, keep it in a secure area such as in a building or covered away from public view
Carry out regular stock checks and report any losses to the police immediately
Avoid leaving fertiliser in a field overnight- never leave fertiliser in a field for a long period of time
Remember it is ILLEGAL to sell Ammonium nitrate without the correct documentation
