Cropkare
What is Cropkare?
Cropkare is a concetrated multi-nutrient compound fertiliser. It is made from sustainable and renewable fuel, composed of poultry litter, that has been burned to generate electricity. The by-product of this burning process leaves a nutrient rich substance that contains all nutrients, except nitrogen, that can be recycled back into the soil.
Importantly, we can use Cropkare in your blends.
Cropkare is inorganic, has no smell and can be used where appropriate as an alternative to superphosphate and muriate of potash fertilisers. It also contains valuable secondary nutrients and trace elements.
An application of 500kg Cropkare/ha supplies
60kg P2O5/ha
60kg K2O/ha
30kg MgO/ha
25kg SO3/ha
Why use Cropkare?
As the price of fertiliser rises, the use of Phosphate and Potash on farms falls. This has led to deficiencies in the soil that used to be common in the past.
Good supplies of phosphate and potash are essential for crops to make efficient use of nitrogen, so it is a false economy to risk nitrates not being taken up.
Cropkare is an affordable, consistent source of phosphate, potash and other valuable trace nutrients.
-
An environmentally friendly fertiliser which is sustainable
-
Consistent in its nutrient content and physical characteristics
-
Regular analysis confirms consistency of nutrients
-
Can be used on all arable and grassland
-
Extremely cost effective, reliable source of phosphate, potash, calcium, sulphur and trace elements
What primary nutrients does Cropkare contain?
Phosphate (typically contains 12% P2O5 to ensure full yield potential and response to nitrogen. Phosphate is essential for good establishment and early growth.
Potash (typically contains 12% K2O) important for high yielding crops. Essential for drought tolerance.
Magnesium (typically 500kg/ha supplies 30kg MgO/ha) essential for the formation of chlorophyll for photosynthesis.
Sulphur (typically 500kg/ha supplies 25kg SO3/ha) essential for the proteins in all crops. Deficiency can reduce nitrogen uptake.
Calcium (typically contains 29% CaO) regular applications helps to maintain soil pH and in doing so increases the uptake of other nutrients.
Sodium (typically contains 2.3% Na2O) improves the palatability of permanent grassland for dairy cows and livestock. Crops like sugar beet, carrots and root brassicas particularly need sodium.
Trace Elements Cropkare contains iron, manganese, boron, copper, zinc, molybdenum and chlorine. It also includes selenium which is often deficient in livestock.
